I'm surprised by the reviews. I myself, am a big fan of books, not at all influenced by tik tok, an app I do not own myself.
As I went to the bookstore, looking for a new genre that differed from my go-to "Sci-fi dystopian" genre. I came across this book, and after reading the blurb I was hesitant to buy it, I'm not a fan of cheesy romance, however, I decided to go through with the purchase.
Upon reading this book, I was in love. The character, although giving off the typical 'I'm different' vibe, was likable, I enjoyed Autumn's character and her uniqueness, it wasn't boring. Yes, the book itself and its writing are not top-tier, but it was refreshing, simple, and easy to read. Sometimes, I crave the typical, predictability of books. It's like a snack before moving on to the main course of more intense reading.
However, for those who possibly read this review, I may be biased. As mentioned earlier, my lack of reading regarding the romance genre may have had my expectations much lower than what it could've been if I were more active in that genre.
In conclusion, I believe this was a great read, I also believe it to be worth buying, despite the reviews, to each their own. Like star wars, millions of fans, but then there's people like myself, who are bewildered at the amount of attention it recieves.
