This was no landmark movie. It was entertaining and always worth watching. Knowing a few of the cast members let me assure you they loved doing this film and continued for decades to have the fondest of memories. Vincent Price played the Movie Star Ham, while Jane, and Bob,went along for the ride portraying their casual selves. It's simply this: an evening of good entertainment - and I miss these guy a bunch!!!

This remarkably simple storyline of two friends, one successful, the other still waiting for a chance to succeed, meet, enjoy dinner, and have a discussion that survives a lifetime. To not find this human and humorous tale is to throw two hours of your life out the window. Wallace Shawn was and remains a dynamic character, a master of comedy without making it intentional, and respected by all who have worked with him, shared either a frame of film, a moment on stage, or delighted from the front or back row of a theatre wherever he has performed. A MUST SEE FILM.

Quite likely the worst of John Wayne's film career. There is more to this story - I would suggest film buff's as well as historians look closely at the circumstances of making this film and then the results of filming it in the location designated. They filmed it in the "Valley of Hell." The film was a financial bust despite the Heavy Hitters involved in its making and its box office value. Not Wayne's best effort.
