I find it weird how all the (black) female characters (except the white woman, of course) were extremely flawed but the (black) males were just “innocent beings doing the best with the cards dealt”. It’s an extremely unrealistic film. It reeks of misogynoir. I just don’t see how anyone else does not see the undertones in this movie.
