I've always thought this movie was great, but they get one small part of the film very very wrong. When Commodus goes to the colosseum floor to meet the Spaniard, only to find out it was really Maximus, he had to choose whether to let him live or to kill him. He gave him a thumbs up. Thumbs up actually meant to kill the gladiator and thumbs down to let him live. It was not directed at the gladiator, it was orders to the guards. Thumbs up, kill him. Thumbs down, lower your weapons and walk away. Other than that, great movie 👍
