For a person old enough to remember Diana, I found the portrayal distinctly irritating. Diana had a few shy mannerisms but these were so accentuated the portrayal became a caricature.
The soundtrack was painful to listen to and I had to turn the volume down when it became overwhelming and then turn the volume back up to hear the dialogue.
Was this made for the American market? Undoubtedly. Obviously little knowledge of the U.K, when 5pm at Christmas, it is still daylight and warm enough to wear light clothes outside. Bad error which made the film even more irritating. I did wonder why Timothy Spall didn’t pick that up in the scene.
What a wasted couple of hours’ viewing.
