Initially I found a few inconsistencies from the old Batman series. Few characters like Gordon and Harley have been made black so takes sometime to identify them. There are some supernatural episodes with ghosts and energy sucking mutants that you don't expect in Batman series. However, after 4 to 5 episodes I found myself hooked on to the series purely for the storytelling and how it holds the suspense. Also the animation is good in the sense that it shows Gotham as a beautiful place with hills and woods, not like the slum that Batman movies do. I would have rated 4 stars for the content, added an extra star for the crispiness of the episodes which are sub 30 minutes in length which suits me fine.
