Richard Bassett

Just finished the first 5 episodes; style over substance. For someone who is supposed to be a 'professional hitman', he seems a little dense to me. I thought the whole point was to not be recognised!!! Even Bruce Willis was better in the role than Redmayne...which is worrying! I actually started to laugh when (spoiler alert) he nearly falls off the roof and as for the jumping on the horse escape...please! The sound track is excellent as is some of the cinematography, but the acting of some of the main characters is wooden. It's one of those series where you are not concerned what's going to happen next, but keep on watching to see if it gets any better....it doesn't.

Phoenix’s acting is intoxicating. The rest of the movie however is absolutely terrible. This straight after Napoleon, where he was also brilliant in a very poor movie. He deserves better .

A show that could have been a great deal better without Rosie; god she is awful and so miscast. Her acting is really embarrassing. Too many filler episodes. Shame, as it could have been so much better.

Solid and well made. Makes you think, but not brill.
