Greta Gerwig's Barbie movie serves as a philosophical quest by Barbie to discern what is real and what are mere shadows. When Barbie perceives the naked truth of reality, she can't wait to share it with others who are trapped in perfection. However, an existential crisis hits her like a bullet. Can she save Barbieland? Or will she continue to be just a toy that makes billions in profit for corporations? With magnificent side casts like Dua Lipa and John Cena, Barbie is a lighthearted and enjoyable movie for all. The homages to 2001: A Space Odyssey and Pride & Prejudice in a fun way were really good and added to the enjoyment. From patriarchy to philosophy, the movie touches on almost every subject that is currently being debated in the world. Also, it would have made a big impact if Aqua's "Barbie Girl" song was included in the movie. While the remix version was nice to hear, the original was pure gold 💜. I'm Kenough (Ken Enough) 😌
