Powerfully tragic and yet beautifully told survival story of a Korean family under savage Japanese colonial rule. Special editing method using juxtaposition of parallel scenes from different time periods amplifies the intensity of emotion and subtleties of symbolism for freedom with the harmonizing effects much akin to classically orchestrated music. A fantastic piece of art work. I cannot wait to watch rest of the episodes.
