The only thing in favor of the movie is that it more or less keeps Mallory's narrative. Everything else is appalling. The armor is off by probably 1000 years. Imagine a movie about Sir Francis Drake using the military gear of Green Berets. This is how accurate the armor is to the epoch of Arthur. Igraine's dance is so contrived, the wedding of Arthur and Guinevere is... simply indescribably ridiculous. Never understood the high ratings of this movie.

Would have been great if Scott would have been more interested in the original stories and less so on preaching his totally out of date message of social equality in the XII century!!

Great movie. Even with his accent, Sean Connery plays a fantastic Raisuli. And Candice Bergen... what a woman. President Roosevelt also very believable. Full of adventure, before the coming of PC. I have watched it like ten times...

Revisionist Walt Disney. My wife had to wake me up twice, every time to get annoyed. I liked the original Dalmatians, I have no need to get a dosis of Disney's PC.

My wife and I loved it. Great acting, beautiful filming. Now I am told by critics that since people died, it is strange that the title is Life. Really... We decided long ago to ignore critics and like or dislike films on our own. We liked this one, a lot.

Pretty hilarious, and with some surprising attention to detail. For instance, its only longboat places the steerboard to the right of the ship, where it is supposed to be (The Vikings, who could not care less for historical accuracy, puts them to the left!!!). So, lot of fun, although characters like Jarl Varg are totally overdone.

Very, very good. Well-acted, good scripts, fantastic score (the funeral music!), maybe a bit dark, but a great reflection on what drives a popular rebellion. Really liked it.

Peter Jackson could have made a little jewel of a movie, befitting a book which is that: a little jewel. Instead he chose to rewrite a work of genius into a mishmash of unrelated threads, mostly absent in the original work, abusing CGI as much as possible, and aiming to raise $$$ by pleasing the crowd with... a trilogy! A trilogy for a children's book of about 300 pages... The result is a disaster, with a few very nice scenes. The arrogance of a successful movie director is boundless.
