Jonah Rubin

It was a very insightful book for me. On the one hand it's structured like a hero's journey and informs the readers how the author, as a student got to go to the rainforests as a research assistant and how the rainforest kind of grows on him and changes his identity. The book is filled with detail, it comes alive in my hands like a story by Michael Ende. The colourful people, the plants and how unraveling their mystery only deepens the mystery of the sources of human knowledge and why it's all about interconnectedness, curiousity, and being open to the possibility that you can't explain everything in a logical way. A must read
