One of the most complex pieces of art ever to be put on TV. Easily the best work of Christopher Nolan, with a gallery of some of the most complex yet relatable characters portrayed brilliantly by actors. (special mention to Michael Caine who just had no business being in this one but still felt like a welcome role). The cinematography, composition and lighting in this will overturn everything you have been taught at film school. The background music by Hans Zimmer is a standout. He has created such lush soundscapes that just flows so well with the scenes, inviting the audiences into this intricate tale of a child in search for her father that just seem to go on forever with no real sense of direction and seemingly needlessly complicated(compliment). This just represents the general meaninglessness and purposelessness of life, that only an auteur like Nolan could imbue into his art, without being so pretentious.
