The main characters Jack (veteran turned small town bar owner) & Mel (nurse practitioner) have top notch chemistry, alongside some of the other cast's questionable acting, this show is honestly so bad at times that it's good (in the best way possible!). I can't usually get my teeth in such hallmarkesque shows but Virgin River turns out to be an exception to the rule - this one is binge watchable and even heart warming at times. The plot twists give big soap opera energy while the opening credits showcasing the local natural beauty in all her glory, never fails to take my breath away. Watchable, predictable (in the most charming way) and overall delightful show.

A rarely delivered antidote to the overdone and predictive Hollywood rom com. The writers and cast do a sterling job at realising deeply flawed human characters that are relatable, occasionally likeable yet cringe in tandem. No mean feat! Plenty of nuance to keep the type of viewer (who doesn't need every joke spelled out) amused for hours. You'll get deeply invested in the main characters and their respective addiction recovery journeys. If you can get comfortable with feeling uncomfortable at times and you enjoy a mumble core vibe or you just want to pop on some sentimental indie, you'll find that Love delivers an abundance of substance compared to your average LA set comedy.

One of our fave go to watches. Great casting, script, cinematography, soundtrack and well rounded flawed characters. The comedy is subtle and yet laugh out loud. The writers don't take their audience to be dumb which is refreshing for American comedy! Think the Big Lebowski set in Venice Beach.
