Many years ago, I was going through the worst time of my life. I was depressed, jobless, my personal life was in the dumps. I was supposed to meet someone and waiting for him. But he called to say that he would be late. To kill time, I bought a ticket and entered an empty theatre. There were only 3-4 people scattered around. And this movie was so good, that sitting alone, I laughed after years. I came out and bought a ticket for the next show, and watched it again. This is a film that everyone needs to watch. It is beautiful. The story, the acting, the direction... everything. To the cast, the crew, the writer, the director... everyone involved in the film. Thank you.

Well, if you think that this is a typical Vidyut Jamwal movie, and it will have dhishoom dhishoom throughout, you are bound to be disappointed. However, there are many things to love about the movie and the most important among them - I never thought I'd say this - is Vidyut Jamwal's acting. Yes, he is spot on! So a little spoiler. Think of this as a modern day Ramayana. Vidyut plays Ram, Shivaleeka plays Sita and our dear old Anu Kapoor is Hanuman. Yes, this is quite a watch. I fully recommend it.

This is as good as it comes. Firstly, the writing is really really good. I have been living in Delhi for more than 20 years now, and I feel like that I have personally known most of the characters portrayed here. The characters are so true, that it is difficult to believe that they have been created. Now the acting. I just spent a few fruitless seconds trying the thesaurus to look for words that can actually describe how good it was. Well, let’s just say it was very good. We always knew Jaideep Ahlawat was a fantastic actor. But this is his finest work. The layers, the layers… Hathiram Chaudhary is like an onion that can be peeled to eternity. Gul Panag. Wow! She was just wow! Abhishek Banerjee showed us how one can terrify without even saying anything. Actually, I can go on and on. The whole cast was amazing. In my opinion the actor (I had to go to IMBD to find his name – Amarjeet Singh) who acted as Cheeni’s childhood friend was absolutely brilliant. And he had such a small role. But it was so real. Well Amarjeet Singh, I am your fan for ever. Yes, there may be some minor plot holes. And the story does not tie up all the ends neatly. But hell, it’s life. And life is messy and never an equation that is perfectly solved.
