5/5 This book is amazing! If you like action, fiction, and comedy then this book is for you! The main character is Mia Tang, and her family are immigrants. Mia and her family are from China and move to California. When they moved they had no money so her parents had to look for jobs everywhere. Eventually, her parents found a job that gave them a free motel room. Without hesitation they took the job.Then, they met the enemy: the meanest, the most angriest and the most racist person in the world that they had to work for. . . Mr Yao. You will learn more about him in the book. When you read this book you will learn about all of Mia’s adventures - such as when she almost got kidnapped! She eventually goes to middle school and finds her new best friend, Lupe, and her bully, Jason. Jason bullies her because she is poor - one time he told everyone that her pants were weird. I personally like the immigration theme because it gives a good perspective of what immigrants think. To top it all off, this book is amazing and I recommend it to all your friends and family so what are you waiting for? Go get it now!
