Huge fan here (like.. drove to Memphis from NJ to go to Graceland/get him tattooed fan) - Austin was great. His voice, mannerisms, esp in the Vegas concert scenes..awesome. It was like watching Elvis. The thing I didnt like was the whole thing being narrated by Hanks. So is the movie more about Tom Parker, or Elvis? For people that don’t know much about him, its surface info. Where he got his roots, his mom and that trauma, the army and so on…. And I’m glad it focused on some sad, dark stuff. The real stuff. But it was long- could have done without some scenes, however, all in all - probably better than any other “biopic” on him ever made, sorry Kurt Russell.

Disturbing, yes. Gory, yes. Kind of hard to follow and definitely didn’t need to be 3.5hr. Entertaining, though. Tilda rocks in the multiple parts she plays. Good cinematography.
