I played the first one and was super excited to see a sequel.
You know how some games are mediocre at launch and then get better as the Devs makes tweeks? This game is the opposite.
I want to yell at the Devs to stop messing around. Just stop making changes.
If too many people in the community use the same weapon, they will make it useless. The community is accomplishing the Major Orders? Up the spawn rate of the enemies.
I know this is not the intent, but if feels like the when the Devs see people having fun playing the game, they change it.
When this game first launched it was ground breaking. Reviews were all about how this game is going to change gaming for the next decade, but now a couple of months later, Helldivers 2 will be remembered as a cautionary tale of how a company tried to micromanage their game with constant updates and tweeks and lost their player base.
In Feb. they had over 475k active players on Steam. Of course that number is going to drop off. But as of June, that number has dropped off to 25k. Alarms should be going off at Arrowhead. When you player base is halving each month people should be getting fired.
At this rate, there won't be enough players to fill a lobby by fall.
