not as great as i expected. the original was way better in almost every way, except graphics and actual live fighting. i felt like i was on a story train waiting to get off, but i never did. this felt overly scripted and very little felt like actual freedom to discover. this feels like a movie you’re playing, you never really get to take a break from the main story and you don’t really get to do what you want. games like these are the past, zelda breath of the wild and Elden Ring are the future. final fantasy 7 is still a legend in gaming and perhaps it is meant to remain a legend. graphics and action rpg are well welcomed. i just wish it was more true to the original instead of a complete makeover, overhaul, and yes truely a new remake of a game people held dear. i appreciate the chance to play something i thought was going to be a complete remake, instead i found myself wondering when do i get to play how i want to play in this new story.

pretty amazing so far 10 hrs in. its very difficult at first, similar to rogue lites, where you cant get very far at first. you incrementally are able to find items and equipment, weapons to slowly progress and discover the landscapes which are amazing! lord of the rings style landscapes, but with a nice twist. enemy ai is very good, very nice enemy animations and enemies look very cool. its hard but i think thats whats make it satisfying for me so far. has tons of customizations and lots of things to, if not just wandering around os awesome in your horse, is so cool, discovering new land types and enemies, such as swamps, thunder lightning laden lands, and lush forests. A step up from other classics that have defined the genre. battling enemies is very fun. Great Game indeed! 😁❤️
