This was obviously the close of the Downton Abbey series, movies, etc. It pulled together the loose ends from both the previous movie and the series. We missed Mr. Talbot but was quite happy with Mary's attitude. It looked as if Mary and Edith had finally become "friends". Frankly, I really enjoyed it. All analysis of the film be darned, it made me feel as if the Crawley family will endure along with their servants. I was devastated by the loss of a main character, but questioned: remember when Lord Melton (or what ever) was diagnosed. He was diagnosed with the same disease. Then they said it was fatal. Suddenly it is curable? Interesting. Other than that as a die hard fan who just went through the entire series and the previous movie; I loved this one. Thank you.
