The Book of Eli is more than just a movie. The underlying message is way too profound and deep for people to understand. I myself is a Hindu by birth, born and raised in a conservative Indian family, so a movie that has biblical references was not something I was interested in. But as the movie began, it kind of hit me like a jolt like I didn't expect it to be something this epic and grand when it comes to the message it conveyed with the audience.
It's very hard to put down in words the valuable life lesson I learnt from Eli's journey. The movie so deserved for multiple Academy Awards at the Oscars but got no recognition and it hurts me to see it was not even nominated for Best Pictures category.
