Vivienne Rendall

Wonderful film, cast,direction, everything. For a black and white film, made in 1948 I was gripped and felt like chewed string at the end. It must have been one of Alec Guinness’s earliest films, he was brilliant then, and is still brillliant now.He can play any kind of character, and is totally believable as all of them. I did not enjoy this at all .I had no idea what was going on, I was bored, did not find any of the characters likeable, so two hours of my life I am not going to get back.
