This movie wasn’t terribly awful. I chuckled a few times. But if I am being completely honest, it left me disturbed. I wasn’t prepared to explain to my 7 and 8 year old children why two women were married and having a child. No disrespect intended to the LGBTQ community. I am strong believer that representation of all is needed in film and art but it’s a time and place for everything. Similarly to any parent not wanting their children to see movies with gruesome gang violence and drugs, I don’t want my children being exposed to homosexuality at their age. This doesn’t mean that I dislike LGBTQ community. I have friends that are LGBTQ and I love them dearly. But LGBTQ representation does not belong in children’s entertainment. This is the purpose for rating all content. As adults are entertainment is different than that of a child. What may be okay for my eyes isn’t always for my child, no matter how much I support the LGBTQ community! Disney I’m very disappointed!
