Keeping that one star to myself because I didn't like the show ending too soon, despite this being the longest show I must've seen (some episodes spanning over 1 hour). We walk through the palace of courtesans and the vicious ways in which women there try to take each other down. But when they stand together, they are indomitable. The last lines, "India got its independence in August 1947, but a woman's struggle never ends" sums up every suffering a woman has ever been through.

A decent crime thriller. Thoughtful theme. Neat storyline, evoking curiousity about tribes, demigods and rituals. I liked the subtle sneak peek into the characters' personal/ love lives. Some scenes were genuinely frightening, but there isn't too much gore/violence. It's safe for a larger audience to watch. Great casting, acting just right. Special mention to the music, BGMs were on point. The love track between Rishi and Kathy is my personal favourite from the series. A need of the hour story plot. I truly hope season 2 brings out the real Vanaratchi!

This is such a lovely film but I got very pissed off when I read somebody's comment which says, " Shyama (amudha's biological mother) could not tell amudha who her father was because she had many boyfriends!! And this stupid review from pu********m ko*****ti left me speechless. The very first scene in the movie shows Shyama married to dileepan, and she leaves him behind at an unavoidable circumstance! Then why do you write this way? Kannathil muthamital is a beautiful film and anyone trying to spoil the movie's plot that too in such a sick and vulgar manner, cinema critics please don't spare them!
