not what i wanted. still the world we love but this series in a whole did not impact me the way TOG and ACOTAR did. the characters are not nearly as lovable and relatable, and the connection between each character is flat compared to the last two series. don’t get me wrong i still read every page but i found myself struggling to pick this book up at times.
one of my biggest pet peeves with this series was hunt and bryce’s relationship, or lack there of. i found myself hoping the entire time one of them would realize that the other was not truly their “mate”. they fight practically throughout the entire book and Bryce’s personality turns into a 15 year old for some weird reason. i don’t feel their connection, it felt extremely forced.
not to mention the “boss fight” was maybe 50 pages.. i was waiting for a huge cliff hanger that would leave a forth book to finish this fight but that was not the case. also there were many plot holes.
one shout out ill give is lydia and ruhn, they carried this book on their backs.
all around opinion, i think this book was rushed (somehow) because it didn’t give the feeling you get with all other SJM books.
one more thing.. do we ever find out who the hell fury axtar is??? lol
