I understand the message, but let's be realistic: what is going on in this movie????
Having worked in an agency that offers services to homeless people, I learned that their homelessness is usually connected to mental health or addiction, and that the lifestyle is a choice. I also learned that there are no quick mainstream fixes (ie beauty shop days, cinema nights or dinners in swanky restaurants) and people with issues aren't always rational, resaonable and going to follow through.
So. I had to stop watching this movie. Totally unbelievable that a raving lunatic breaking windows one day is allowed back into the facility, period, and that two days later, said lunatic can keep it together in a fancy restaurant and voluntarily spill his story to some rich white guy. Eh.
And it just keeps going from there....
