I think this book is amazing. The character development of the main character was subtly done and it made it feel more realistic. I love how Tess Sharpe writes about Mina and Sophie. She doesn't gloss over the fact that they both have major flaws, instead she includes them. She shows how Sophie can love Mina even when she feels like she hates her. Their relationship isn't sweet and dreamy, instead its confusing and hard. But they both love each other in the end. This incorporation of Mina/flashbacks makes her death hurt a lot more. I also love the tone of mystery that the author gives throughout the book. Not to mention the inclusion of addiction and disability. The way Tess Sharpe intertwines the two is really clever and beautiful. Her pain and disability is what makes her give into the oxy, and it hits your heartstrings a little. Not to mention how Tess Sharpe handles grief. Throughout the book, Sophie goes through Denial, Pain/Guilt, Depression, Anger, and finally the upward turn happens at the end of the book when she finally opens up to her therapist. Overall, I 100% recommend this book. It is beautiful and will move you to tears.
