a very frustrating watch This shouldn't have been made into a movie. The story just isn't there. Like I've seen others say, it could've been a short story or 10 minute movie, but it does not work like this. The characters have no development, (spoilers below!!!) they have no chance, and while that could be argued as a directive decision, to make us sit for 90 minutes in a story where there is no solution or good scene to watch, just numbing despair and the creatures inevitably winning and winning for no clear ulterior motive besides reproduction of the exact same life for another of their kind before dying themselves... it's not exactly fun. also was jesse eisenberg's performance in this intentionally bad? it did not make sense to me.
