I was really looking forward to reading this, but kinda disappointed when I actually did. The whole book was just showing how the school had a low budget and were cutting costs, and that was it. It wasn't that exciting and was pretty much the same throughout the whole book. The ending felt really rushed, forcing Greg to jump into everything and progressing the whole story way too fast. At the end, felt like a whole month's worth of content had been stuffed into a few pages. There wasn't much detail, and everything seemed like paper cutouts that had no personality or dimension that could be disposed of with no consequences. Everything happened in an instant, and boom! Suddenly everything is okay??
Jeff Kinney took SO LONG to explain everything bad happening in the school, just to fix it in a few pages?
Plus, there was little to no mention of Greg's family or friends. I don't even think Rodrick and Manny were mentioned AT ALL!
So overall, it was a poorly written story that was rushed and boring.
This is a completely honest review with little to no bias. (Unlike the others)
