A brilliantly whimsical and hilarious film, it was everything you would expect from a story about a magical and musical character like Willy Wonka. The storytelling was well-thought out and entertaining! I was thoroughly impressed by Timothée's acting (not because he’s not a good actor but because the preview and social media might have given a false impression of the film's quality) but the movie turned out to be the exact opposite. The storyline was engaging, and the music and dancing were incredibly entertaining. The performances of the supporting characters were great, and their roles in Wonka's life added a heartwarming dimension. I absolutely loved it and highly recommend it!

An interesting and whimsical tale. A story of love, loss, power and sacrifice. As usual I was enchanted by Miyazaki’s animation and creation of vibrant & fantastical worlds. The story telling was complex but fascinating and seemed like something I need to watch again to truly understand. But I kind of like that I didn’t get it all immediately, I think it’s something that isn’t meant to be understood the first time or maybe never at all. I appreciated the moments of sonder and referances to his previous films . Overall I loved it and am happy to get a glimpse into his world as much as possible!

It was GOOD. At first it was a bit slow and I came back to it a couple of weeks when I was bored but then I got sucked in! It's been hard to find a chinese drama that would draw me in like some of the classics but this was real close. Amazing plot and character development. I loved Orchid and QingChang relationship and the triangle with Lord Cheng. I even cried a couple times. It was a beautiful drama about love and loss. Must Watch! Don't look at the netflix review of 3 stars, def 4 at least.
