Merida S

I walked into this movie with middling expectations- I thought it might be a comedy/action flick, given Ryan Reynolds' other projects. This movie blew my expectations out of the water. It certainly does have plenty of humor and action (the skewering of a variety of first person shooters is fantastic), but it also brings up discussions of what makes us human, and what makes a person important. It manages to do it without being pedantic or heavy. Well worth the watch, and will be watching again to catch all of the cameos! (Also, the most obvious one is an excellent moment in the film).
