I remember watching the original three Spider-Man movies and yes it was a little cheesy but who doesn't love cheese (apart from vegans) but it was cool back in the day (I haven't watched them for ages) then film makers thought to make another Spider-Man film called the amazing Spider-Man and the first film was awesome but the second one when they ruin it by SPOILER ALERT killing off Emma Stone as MJ, I was really disappointed and confused plus it was a bit too dark for my liking (apart from Harry Potter even when it gets darker) then I was a little interested but not at the same time, it's the same story all over again, I mean woopie do, mention the Avengers and bring in Iron Man and Doctor Strange. I took a chance to watch this film and I love the cheesiness like the original, bit dark in places and a verity of Spider suits, now that's cool. What was even more brilliant they brought back two Peter Parkers from different dimensions that was amazing. But what ruined the film for me again SPOILER ALERT Peter Parker wanted everyone to still remember Spider-Man but forget Peter Parker and that's what ruined it for me. I get heroes have to make sacrifices for the people they love and protect but, come on there must of been a second option.

I prefer the original Matilda, I did like how Emma Thompson portrayed Miss Trunchball, I thought she did a good job. However there was moments where I felt lost and moments where probably it didn't work as a musical, I am not against musicals, the songs were great. The slapstick for me was ruined from beginning to end and even Mr Wormwood calling Matilda a boy, it started of as a little joke even though I felt bad for her but he continued calling Matilda a him all the way through and that really spoiled it for me.

It wasn't the best film ever, I felt as though there wasn't enough magic in the story and the seagull talking underwater what was that about. I was really close to rating this film two stars. I rated it three stars instead of two is because it's got a good story like the original 1989 version but I think some of it should of changed and feel a little more original than copyright. In my opinion it may of been better if it wasn't a musical, I am not against musicals but I thought it would of been better not as a musical and with a bit more magic and stop ruining the jokes and the slapstick. I did love the rapping and now that was different and clever.
