First off, IGNORE the 1 star reviews. The game is MADE to be hard, even on easy. They wanted it to have "a 10% success rate, even if you know what you're doing." Seriously, even after 10 years, I still play this, and it's held up amazingly well, nothing comes close to FTL. There is a fancified clone, but that's all it is. There are few games I play after that long, mostly because the replay value is low, they have no appeal, or todays hardware doesn't support it for some reason (RAGE that's you). Whether you get it on sale or not, it's absolutely worth grabbing. Advanced edition makes it even better, which is free. Even more reason to play.
