It's a Nick Fury Story. Secrets & the grey area Fury lives in, the shadows of the MCU. Superior writing from Marvel! A definite lead into "The Marvels", that stands strongly on it's own as an espionage political Sci-Fi thriller. Love it! Everyone seems to think any Marvel show HAS to have a couple superheroes in it or it's a bust. Bringing the Avengers in would muddle a story made of an invisible alien race taking over in the shadows. Its not for superheroes and morals, but humans. This show brought Fury to the forefront after being off earth for too long. No longer w shield or any government affiliation. It is a good story keeping the mystique of Fury while giving us an insight into the man at the same time. In the end, don't watch it if you're wanting to see The Avengers. Watch it because it's an excellent story about intergalactic immigrants forced from thier home & the struggle that forces them to break into separate factions over ideals. AND YOU GET NICK FURY, front & center! I got what I wanted from this show! No disappointments. Watch & enjoy.
