Excellent book of historical fiction centres around a champion horse. The book is interesting as it switches from historical novel to current times and at different levels: horse rearing & racing; the science of horses body structure and equestrian paintings. It was also very interesting to read about how race & slavery played its part in horse racing & rearing in America. Finally how little has changed on race in modern U. S. of A. A fascinating book but very real.
