It was a beautiful movie that clearly identified the life struggles faced by aspiring artists of colour. The songs were great , and had it been made by a mainstream creative it would have won plaudits. It was horribly underrated by critics , but loved by many movie fans.

Please give Ms Ross and Richard Pryor[posthumously] the Oscars they so richly deserved . The performances were stellar , and the film is a classic RARELY shown on Tv for reasons one can only speculate on .
