Apart from the theme and cinematography, I disliked this series immensely. I found the characters to be much to my disliking... even despicable. I didn't relate to any character except the oil man, and hope that I never meet people like this in my life. It portrays Canadian people to be unsympathetic and greedy. I am an American and have met many Canadian people and they don't act like that.

A very illogical story and extremely perverse. Would definitely not recommend it for a wholesome person.
