I have read about Napoleon in depth and this movie has completely failed to capture the true character Napoleon was. No wonder people of France are not liking this movie. Napoleon was a significant historical figure in France and movie fails to portray him. Even though the movie is 2 hr and 37 min long it feels rushed. The most annoying parts were jumping from one point to another on the timeline without establishing proper connection to previous event and another was when Napoleon (Joaquin Phoenix) and Josehine (Vanessa Kirby) were just sitting and looking at each other I mean what is that for? And when Josephine was talking in the background to Napoleon which completely unnecessary and annoying. There are instances in the movie which are composed of unnecessary jokes. Also they should have at least tried to speak in French accent so it feels like authentic French movie. All in all it is just a horrible movie and doesn't live up to hype it created through its trailer. There are videos on YouTube that explain the character Napoleon was much more clearly and in depth. The only worth watching scenes were Battle of Australitz and Battle of Waterloo.
