The Rig is a suspense thriller. It takes place (as you may have guessed) on an oil rig that has been disconnected from all outside contact as a mysterious fog rolls in. Several strange and semi-supernatural events begin to take place, which lead the crew to understand that this fog is not normal, and they are dealing with something out of their league. PROS - the slow burn and big reveal. You get fed small pieces of information throughout that finally allow you to put together the explanation for several drastic events that take place in the very first episode. The characters are interesting, sometimes infuriating, and their relationships are very intriguing to watch unfold. The suspense is strong, and unsettling CONS - ... it IS a slow burn. If you are looking for an action heavy thriller, this is not it. But if you want a character driven suspense, you came to the right place. Four out of Five stars for me! I will be looking for Season 2 when it releases!
