Me and my son loved this movie! We’ve watched it a couple of times now and I never get bored. The music is super catchy and the movie itself is heartwarming and funny.

I was really excited when I found out there would be a spin off of HIMYM but I am disappointed in this series. Plain and simple, it is NOT funny. How can a comedy show not be funny especially if it will be compared to HIMYM. The first episode was very cringey and there was a lack of chemistry between the characters. It all seemed very forced especially since most of the characters did not know each other and they all seemed to meet at once. That’s a huge downfall to the show because friendship played such a big role in the original. Second, a lot of people have been critiquing the diversity in the show. I actually appreciate that the producers heard the complaints of the original cast being all white, heterosexuals characters. However, I did not like that they’re stereotypical and seemed placed to hit the diversity mark. The British guy seems to be what Americans think a British guy should be like and the Latina character is overly sexualized. The Asian lesbian character on the show also seemed very forced. The show gave very much abc family / Disney sitcom. An awkward mix of “adult jokes” and cringy, corny characters. I’m going to try to keep watching but I have no high hopes so far considering they can’t even make me chuckle.
