Al Venslovaitis

I was expecting a fairly close-to-the-book depiction of the Foundation books. As many other reviewers have already observed, this series bears almost no resemblance to Asimov’s excellent novels. I enjoyed the Asimov stories and was disappointed that this is something else. Despite feeling defrauded with some kind of bait and switch, I stuck with the something else as long as I could. Sorry, but it’s really banal and boring whatever it’s supposed to be and whatever the story it’s trying to tell. From the reviews I gather there are viewers who enjoy it. Good for them. Personally as of season one, I’ll be avoiding any further showings of this mediocrity.
