This is what recent releases should feel like, this is what the hyped up games like starfield wish they were. Helldivers 2 has issues, don’t get me wrong there but we have immediate proof of a very active, communicative, helpful, inspired, and now successful Arrowhead Studios to back those issues up and patch them as time goes on. When it comes to the actual gameplay don’t let poor mentality stray you away from this game, I originally had negative desire to play simply because I thought swarms of mobs would be overwhelming. However this game is very unique, has a truly immersive atmosphere, the combat is never boring it never gets old, there’s enough variety in tools, atmosphere, enemies already and there’s plenty more announced and even more to come past that. I simply believe now after truly enjoying the game after being gifted it by family, by someone who hadn’t even played it, that it is bound to become game of the year. I write this review in order to push that belief forward.

People hate on this game just because the developers wanted to put homosexual characters in it, and so there would be homosexual scenes. But come on, how childish is it to base your 1 star review mostly because a woman kissed another woman, grow up. It might’ve not even been included to send a message or something, maybe they just felt like doing It. The game is absolutely gorgeous, the amount of work that must've been put in in every detail and asset was probably also enormous. Gameplay wise it's like the last of us 1 but highly polished, which isn't a bad thing, I don't see how having similar gameplay to other games in the same series is an issue. And the story you must understand to enjoy, they're trying to show that every story has two sides. SPOILERS They show that when Joel faced his dilemma and intervened the creation of the vaccine the fireflies would make from Ellie in the first game, that he killed someone very important to a girl, Abby. Abby is not a villain, she is portrayed as a villain because you see the events trough the perspective of Ellie, and what she sees is this random Abby girl showing up, killing your best friend/dad figure and disappearing, but she has reason for her actions, both the characters do. Which is what makes the story so great, because none of the characters are necessarily wrong
