nobody knows

Like everyone says, the visuals are stunning and the production value is stellar, I want to give props to the people behind that. But for the life of me I cannot understand why some people are giving this five stars. This season (as I have seen it as) does not set a new standard for anime overall. The writing is borderline atrocious and almost nothing happens. You can watch the first and second episodes and the 2nd to last and last episodes and not miss anything. There is no character development. There is no amazing narrative. The plot here has more holes than swiss cheese. The Background characters are obnoxious and copy-and-paste (please just teach them total concentration breathing constant). The Hashira's trainings are so repetitive. The Master? Didn't care about him. Didn't spend enough time with him to care at all. Giyuu's training that was hyped up early on in the season? Didn't even happen so why was our time wasted? Nezuko finally having the ability to talk again and therefore given a reason to establish a proper character? Not even present passed the first episode. Shinobu and Tamayo meeting and hyped up as something big? Not there. And so much more... Some people are overhyping this season way too much when there's nothing there. And no, I don't want some big fight scene like in the other seasons, I actually want character development. And clearly it wasn't there.
