I think Ana did a great job, Andrew doesn’t deserve all the hate because he didn’t come up with this story- it stays very true to the book it’s based on, and I like the way it was shot. My only complaint is that I’d wish the character wouldn’t have been so weepy-victim- Marilyn was fierce and this movie has her as someone who has no spine. I understand they’re going for a woman who was used abused by powerful men, but I wished she had just ONE moment giving someone the middle finger. I also can’t understand why it’s NC-17? It’s a woman’s breasts and only suggests sex with moans or a camera positioning. I mean my god there’s movies with total nudity for both genders with out this rating, movies depicting rape, abortion, none with an NC attached.
