Loved the intrigue. Loved his ambition and loved seeing justice prevail. Loved the relationship between Ali and Omer/Ezel. Stunning last scene when Ali couldn’t let go of Ezel. Pity Eynshan had to die by the hands of a narcissist Cengiz. It was badly thought out. She didn’t deserved such punishment as throughout the movie she proved her love for Omer and Bahar.
We all loved seeing justice in the last scene between Cengiz and Ezel. Fortunately the director let us understand the antagonists’ background so we bear with their nasty traps and lack of empathy. We only understood in the end why Cengiz was such a spoiled brat, heartless lad, gelous and hateful friend, suffering and never -recovering narcissist. But the director’s idea of Ezel’s suicide was terrible. A powerful person like Ezel was supposed to clearly survive; he was not a gladiator and didn’t deserve such a cowerdish death. The scene between Can and Ezel/ Omer at the Lighthouse makes you wonder if this was another story, or idea, wishful thinking or something to soothe the soul; people don’t watch out for details and don’t read the script. …We wish it was Ezel alive in the Lighthouse, isolated and alone, depressed but awaiting for his son’s 20th. We will never know if the film director wanted us to understand that. For such a disastrous ending I am lowering the stars..
