I loved every single second of this movie, it was way funnier than I expected from the promo. I haven't laughed at a movie like this in ages! We had to rewind a few times because we were laughing too long and too loud. I will be excitedly watching it again tomorrow and probably more down the road. People who are panning this, just don't get it. Everything about it was delightful as well; the sets, costumes, innuendos, 60s vernacular, timing, and flow, all the cameos. Everything so clever and brilliant. Loved how they integrated different pop culture, historical, and political references and storylines. It definitely follows a classic comedic goofball movie approach, which was refreshing, honestly. I think all of the mascots being portrayed as real (especially the whole funeral scene), is just too much ridiculousness to not burst out laughing every time! I live for movies like this. And we all know that Jerry LOVES cereal from Seinfeld, so for him to jump down that rabbit hole and create this "historical fiction" satire drawing us in, back to a seemingly mundane product launch, is a fabulous concept. That's a big part of the magic. There's so much truth in here about how food changed for the worst and we're still paying the price, just to make the corporations another nickel, so much greed and FUs to the consumer. If you get it, you really get it. If you don't, you just don't.
