The short story BLACK JESUS FROM MUSAMI is a very powerful story. It narrates a story of a freedom fighter who was helped escape an attack by a black Smith soldier during the war. After the war, the freedom fighter failed to secure employment in free Zimbabwe. In an attempt to get a job he visited his uncle in Musami who had a' company'. He met that soldier who helped him escape an attack during the war. They chatted a little bit. The ex-soldier told him that he was wasting his time because his uncle did not have a company. Instead, he told him to go to a certain company immediately for they were looking for a replacement for someone who had previously resigned. He told him to mention his name as a reference. He went to that company and got the job. After some months during lunch in the canteen, he overheard two guys talking about Musami. He went there and told them about his friend. The two looked at him in surprise. They told him that the guy had died many years back. That was the start of his problems, that a ghost had gotten him a job.
