I found this a disappointing read. I feel that the title was chosen to take advantage of the rising popularity of 'cold water swimming' and attract people who share this interest, whereas there is in fact very little mention of swimming. Much more could have been made of the situation where the protagonist is helped to overcome her fear of water by a group of cold water swimmers. The style of writing felt , to me, to have echoes of 'Mills & Boon' about it so I found that I could not fully engage with any of the characters. No doubt it will be enjoyed by some readers who enjoy light 'chick lit' but for my part I'm glad that I found it in a charity shop 'bargain bin' and only paid 50p for it.
