Listened to the audio book after not reading it for a long time in preparation for the show. Tons of people are nit picking the small details. But for the most part it is fairly close to the source material. Especially compared to the old movie. Everyone that says the old is better and closer to the book is definitely on something. The pacing is a little fast, but there’s so much story and detail to tell. There will definitely be a couple issues, happens with all shows based on books. Overall, I think it a good show so far. Fairly close to the source material. Acting is good. CGI and fight scenes are good. It’s definitely not perfect but I’m having fun and that’s what I want from a childhood classic like this! Going into it, take it for what it is and I think you’ll have fun.

Seeing a lot of negative reviews on how drawn out and long the movie is. I believe the length helps the movie. It does a ton of character building and shows you how Snow got to where he is in the original trilogy. The character building and story telling is great. The action isn’t as big and flashy as the original films/books but it doesn’t have to be. Most movies feel rushed and don’t build up characters enough like a show or series of movies can. The cast and crew did a great job of really flushing out the world and what it’s about. In all, this movie is more about character building, growth and storytelling. If you’re into all of that and not just action and drama I believe this is the movie for you. 9/10
