Evil Dead by name only. This movie lacked everything that made the original trilogy so beloved. I didn't feel connected to any of the characters and the whole thing seemed rushed, like someone had some ideas for gory scenes and just threw them all together. At times it was cruel (to the characters and the audience) just for the sake of shock value. In the end, there is nothing really memorable about this mess. Wait for it to stream or at least for matinee prices.
