This is the best Sci fi i have seen since the Expanse. It put science back into sci fi. It is a story of people struggling in adversity and unlike The walking Dead humanity i mostly kind and supportive to helping each other. Juxtaposed this to the ruthlessness of the Invading aliens is a brutal contrast. But as the characters unravel we realise this goes on all the time in brutal wars around the world like Sudan or Ukraine. I really cared about the characters and more than once a tear came to my eye. I love the fact it is set in France and England and is bilingual. I enjoyed the kindness but also pragmatism of Ash, the coldness of Sacha, the protectiveness and guilt of Catherine and all the other beautiful characters. The cyber dogs totally pitiless killing machines but loyal and caring to their human owners. I have watched this series twice now and will watch again. Very few show leave me wanting more. I also think the research about quantum physics and time travel are all bang up to date with recent theories about alternative realities. I must also add the cinematics are stunning and the music deeply haunting and memorable. There is something simple about the lack of big spaceships and this allows the story to focus in on people struggling to survive both humans races are confronted with extermination by the other . I think Gabriel Byrne was a superb choice for the conflicted scientist who ahs to struggle with massive moral dilemmas. There is no sentimentality either, no heroic feats to save a dog . Brutal dystopian escapism. Please do a series 4 .
